the association
Les Gardiens Du Temps is a non-profit, secular and apolitical association of historical reconstruction, founded in 2011 in La Ciotat (13).
It aims to reconstruct the history of the Norwegian exodus to Iceland and Europe at the end of the 9th century-beginning of the 10th century (874-930).
For the sake of credibility, our work is based on historical, archaeological and experimental archeology sources carried out within our team and in partnership with other "Viking" reconstitution troops.
In order to make known to the general public this little-known culture and often the victim of prejudice, we intervene in schools, centers for the disabled, equestrian centers, boat shows, concerts, etc. But above all, we are present at medieval events (fairs, markets, tournaments, festivals, etc.).
We pitch our camp there and we organize around daily and artisanal activities : blacksmithing, leather work, sewing, embroidery and weaving, pottery, woodworking, cooking, hunting and fishing, not forgetting the art of war.
